Educational Qualifications

A Master’s Degree in any of the Social Sciences or Humanities, with a bias for an MBA is desirable S/he must have relevant local or international professional qualification e.g. NIM, NIPR, etc. In addition, candidate must have minimum of 15 years relevant experience to the job objectives, of which at least 10 must be in rendering related services in a large utility company, FMCG, bank or Oil & Gas Company and not less than 5 years in a senior management position. Lead, inspire, develop and coach the Control & Compliance Audit team. Coordinate the sharing of best practice to improve business performance. Assist with the implementation of improved business controls where appropriate. Develop long-term corporate financial policies and strategies in line with overall corporate strategies; Develop short-term operational plans in line with those policies and strategies, for effective financial management and optimizing financing cost; Develop/ ensure policies comply with applicable accounting and financial reporting framework; Develop and control the company’s annual budget to ensure that all financial targets are met Ensure compliance with financial and statutory regulations; Coordinate with other departments for compliance and implementation of financial management policies, budgets, etc. with emphasis on controlling costs; Negotiate with lenders, review credit requirements considering the debt servicing Chief Finance Officer capacity and acquiring adequate finances to meet short as well as long-term credit requirements; Approve the training and capacity building measures for the employees in the department to ensure employees are adequately motivated and developed, to carry out their responsibilities; Report financial information to the CEO and Board at periodic intervals.
