General Manager (Power) in Lagos, Nigeria

Due to the expansion of the company, this role has been created to further the client’s activities in Nigeria.
Based in Lagos, Nigeria and reporting into the CEO, the client is looking to appoint an experienced General Manager on a permanent basis with immediate effect. The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of the Power division of the company and will further develop the IPP business.
With a Degree in Engineering suitable applicants will have at least 10 years of experience in the field of Power Generation. Candidates must have experience of managing IPPs and must speak English fluently. A Masters in Business Management, or experience of PPAs is desirable, but not essential.
This position is open to international candidates.
Your key duties will include
– Developing IPPs and identifying new opportunities for growth.
– Managing emergency power contracts.
– Developing standard operational procedures.
– Managing staff and providing approval/guidance to team.
– Preparing weekly and monthly reports for management.
A cost to company package from $7,500 – $9,500 gross per month is provided plus other benefits. Full disclosure will be given to any candidates deemed suitable for the position.
